Restoration of St. Mary’s Gymnasium

Five pro-life bills were voted on by the House in our state.  All five were defeated by the Democrat majority.  They may go to the Senate for a vote, but will be defeated there as well. SB-486-FN, A Senate Bill passed 14/10. This would require insurance companies to "provide coverage for emergency or elective abortion services for persons who are residents of this state." This bill will "cross-over" to the House sometime in the Spring, but the House Democrat Majority will very likely pass it there. About 350 clothing gifts were provided to the Kiwanis Club for distribution to needy children and adults in our area. Over $2200 was also donated and used to purchase the boots, snowpants and jackets that children needed. We are sure that Christmas was brighter for many families because of your generosity! If you have been blessed this year, please consider helping to provide Christmas gifts of clothing to our less fortunate neighbors. Please take one or more envelopes off the tree in the sanctuary. Each one has a specific gift request including size for men, women, girls, boys, and toddlers. Please shop for the gift in the next two weeks. Put the gift in a “gift bag” and securely attach the number to the outside of the bag. Gifts must be returned to the Church or parish office no later than Sunday December 9th. On Saturday, August 22, a group of 13 of us gathered for our monthly vigil across from Planned Parenthood clinic on Pleasant St. in Claremont.  Joining us for the first time was Charlotte Antal, a representative from NH Right To Life (NHRTL).  She wanted NHRTL to have a presence at our vigil just in case of a backlash from Planned Parenthood representatives in retaliation for this protest day across the nation. As it turned out, the vigil was uneventful and our prayer witness received general support from passersby.  NHRTL posted an article on their website about our group.

Dayspring Pregnancy Center of the Upper Valley continues to provide a wonderful program to pregnant women in need! They offer many resources which includes counseling, ultrasounds, options for adoption, maternity/family training, baby items which includes clothing and much more! Knights of Columbus Aluminum Can Drive
