SPIRITUAL ADOPTION OF AN UNBORN CHILD

To help stop the anti-life push around the world, the late Venerable Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen encouraged the “spiritual adoption” of an unborn child, by praying that one particular but unknown child’s life be spared abortion and be allowed to live. To help accomplish this, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen recommended an individual say the following daily prayer every day which only takes seconds…

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much.  I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.

At the entrance of the church, you will find on a table, a Prayer Card which has a picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe, “The Patroness of the Unborn” on it with the prayer on the back of the card, asking God for your “adopted child” that he or she will be carried to term and experience the fullness of life, as He intended.  You will see a spot to name your adopted baby.  

Your prayers CAN make a difference whether a baby will be born… or aborted.  Please share the love of life and join in spiritually adopting a baby. Through this ministry, St. Mary Parish has an opportunity to save hundreds of babies. 

After nine months, we will have a Baby Shower with the baby gifts going to the Upper Valley Crisis Pregnancy Center.  We are all encouraged to continue praying the prayer every day.  May God Bless you and through God’s mighty hand, may we one day soon see the end of abortion in our land.
