Father Shawn would like to say thank you to the parish volunteers and the Knights of Columbus who donated their time, money, and effort in assisting the Marian Missionaries in the facilitating of the Mercy & Mary retreat held this past weekend at St. Mary’s. Fr. Michael Gaitley and his team were quite impressed with the volunteers and the Knights of Columbus with how organized and helpful everyone was to them. For those who attended the retreat, you saw (and tasted!) the wonderful donuts and breakfast breads made available to the retreatants. Several of the Missionaries remarked that our parish was one of the best host parishes they had worked with and would love to come back again. A special note of gratitude to the Knights for helping keep everyone hydrated with lots of bottled water on ice throughout the day as we dealt with the oppressive heat and humidity. Our final number of registrants was close to 250 and the retreat was an absolute success and beautiful experience for all. You all did St. Mary Parish proud in your presence and prayer. Thank you!
